Contact Lens

We fit all types of contact lenses including lenses for astigmatism, overnight wear, bifocal contact lenses, keratoconus and much more.

One of the most exciting type of lenses being fit at our offices are the CRT(corneal refractive therapy) lenses. CRT lenses are rigid lenses that are worn only when you sleep. These lenses are taken out in the morning and you are left with good vision without contact lenses or glasses throughout the day. This is not a permanent correction of your vision yet a temporary solution that requires wearing the lenses at night. Dr. Wichnoski has personally worn these lenses for over 3 years and highly recommends them for eligible patients.

Another category of lenses that are fairly new to the market are the silicone hydrogel lenses. These lenses can provide many times more oxygen to the eyes compared to other category of lenses.  The FDA has actually approved 2 of these lenses for up to 30 days of continuous wear without taking them out of you eyes. Sleeping in lenses is not for eveyone, but my patients wear them for that amount of time with great success. These lenses are actully providing some patients with a second chance to remain in soft contact lenses.  If there is a significant risk of failing ocular health due to lack of oxygen to the cornea, then these lenses may provide the needed oxygen and therefore may extend a patient ability to remain in soft lenses.

Some of the most popular brands of contact lenses available today are:
